- 12 oz linguine or penne pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup white wine or chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Pour in white wine (or chicken broth) and lemon juice, letting it simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes, stirring until smooth. Simmer for another 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Toss the cooked pasta and shrimp in the sauce, ensuring they are well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
